*December-July* *Warren, New Jersey* *Project Overview -* Experience with enterprise sized networks and high availability environments; - Provides Firewall, Load Balancing and Switching hardware/software engineering support; - Troubleshoots firewall, load balancer and connectivity and email systems; - Solid foundation on network concepts: OSI model, TCP stack – CCNP or CCNA is desirable; - Monitors network performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades; - Makes recommendations to ensure compliance with business continuity plan; - Maintain documentation for network support processes and procedures to provide timely and efficient customer support; - Continually reviews, identifies and suggests improvements to existing processes to ensure that network administration is optimized; - Concrete understanding of: switching, routing, subnetting, load balancing, DNS, mail; - Participates in the evaluation of network related hardware/software products. Analyzes service options, infrastructure configurations and ongoing supportrequirements to determine lowest cost of operation; - Documents network problems and resolution for future reference; - Oversees network security; - Follows and advocates change management procedures *Role & Responsibilities -* These are the main competency areas for this role (prioritized): 1. Routing (BGP) 2. Load balancing 3. Firewall 4.
