PURPOSE
Client is looking for an Informatica Engineer to work in our Denver, CO
location.  You will play several strategic and technical roles as you
develop our data integration solutions and support a variety of database
platforms as we implement our EIM strategy.  You will be responsible for
the design, development, documentation and quality assurance as well as
being the technical and strategic thought leader in our enterprise DW
environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
• SQL Server Experience; familiarity with SSRS, SSIS, SSAS
• Unix experience
• Experience with the Oracle Data Warehouse Administration Console (DAC)
• Familiarity with multiple Oracle Business Suite R12 modules in 02C and
supporting data models
• Strong OBIEE 11g skills, both in terms of new functionality (mapping,
analyses, KPIs, Scorecards, etc) and new infrastructure (WebLogic, EM, OPSS
etc)
• Strong ODI skills, both in terms of the basics, but also being able to
write knowledge modules, integrate with OBIEE, deployment and migration
• Solid database skills –need to know partitioning, materialized views,
index types
• BI Apps skills, Fusion Apps and JDeveloper
• Working knowledge of newer technologies such as in-memory (TimesTen),
mid-tier caching (Coherence), plus technologies such as Business Activity
Monitoring (BAM), “big data” (Hadoop, large data sets, NoSQL), complex
event processing and maybe products such as Qlikview
• Understand the Kimball concept that Dimensional Models should correspond
to physical data capture events (business processes) and not organizational
departments or functions.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 7+ years of
programming and analysis experience; or equivalent combination of education
and experience.
• 7+ years experience Informatica development experience including design,
development and tuning ETL’s.
• 7+ years experience with Enterprise ERP systems as data warehouse source
• 7+  years Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence  experience, dimensional
modeling relational star schemas and snowflake schemas
• 7+ years Oracle database experience
• Must have Strong SQL experience.
• Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Candidate will design, document, develop, test and maintain complex data
extract transformation and load ETL programs using Informatica.
• Install, configure, and maintain components owned by the development team
that are necessary for the building, testing, and running of the
application.
• Collaborate with the performance monitoring team to assure that
application monitoring is established and persists as expected. Also,
collaborate with Operations to assure that backup and recovery procedures
are established and persist as expected.
• Ensuring that Quality Assurance test plans are executed before releasing
product enhancements for user acceptance testing.  SDLC adherence.
• Provide input into business cases, ROI analyses, and feasibility studies
as led by an architect; and do presentations to colleagues and contribute
to procedures and standards
• Produces accurate, logical and efficient application modifications which
conform to the specifications and schedules provided or obtained through
own research; solutions involve flow-charting, coding, debugging, testing
and documenting applications programs that will address user needs.
• Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering
computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of
desired results.
• Participates as part of a team working on assigned components of major
information systems projects; responsible for completing own work as well
as integrating the work of others in completing complex projects; reviews
the work of peers.
• Performs advanced trouble-shooting and testing of existing programs in
order to analyze and identify (“debug”) program logic problems; writes and
implements code to correct problems.
• Compiles documentation of program development and subsequent revisions,
testing methodology and test results to ensure that new systems and
modifications can be understood, interpreted by and used in training other
IT staff.
• Ensures that procedures are in place that protect sensitive code and
maintain data security.
• Develops expert knowledge of computer languages, coding methods and
operating system requirements used in the organization’s IT environment;
acts as resource to others inside and outside of department in analyzing
systems solutions and forecasting future initiatives.
• Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to
prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as
required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures.
