IOS/Android - 3 ms – Internal project - open positions in Greater Seattle
Project Description: This platform will allow mobile device companies and unprecedented density of devices to be remotely accessed to execute manual and automated testing of the apps on the devices. The project consists of several components · Developer IDE integration plug-ins (xCode, Eclipse, Visual studio) · API and web portal for executing testing and accessing results · Physical hardware to enable the testing environment The consultant will be working on the proof of concept of the developer IDE integration component of the CellBlock. Android Engineer Job deliverables: The consultant will be responsible for implementing key proof of concept features for the CellBlock product. The system is designed to be able to remotely connect into android phones and present a remote view of the mobile devices screen side by side with a live video feed of the screen. A QA resource will then interact with the remoted screen to perform manual testing and later automated testing of the project. The consultant will be responsible for all of the following: · Full feature design of the remote screen presenter. This can be greenfield development and/or integration of existing software · Working with server engineers to integrate this functionality with a web app. · Manual testing of the video feed · All source code and documentation to be checked in daily to the MIW GitHub repository · All issue tracking will be done via the GitHub issue tracker The features of the plug-in are: · Development and/or integration of a remote screen viewing software package on Samsung Galaxy S4 and S5 mobile devices · Hand off of software to server developers for integration into the core product · Manual validation that a QA resource will be able to interact with the remote view and access all screen elements and hard buttons. · Work with MIW product management to scope out how an automated testing framework could be extended into the deliverable to allow programmatic control of the remote UI ideally with BDD test patterns. · Software to be installed on the mobile device and/or remotely collected to capture operating system metrics during test sessions. Metrics are CPU, Memory, Storage utilization, network traffic generate and any power metrics that are possible. This is a short term proof of concept project targeted at a 90 day span to highlight the potential of the CellBlock to potential customers. A far more extensive contract spanning 6 months will follow to develop the full feature set of the plugin.
