Position : Data Modeler Location : Bethesda, MD Duration :12+Months Contract PHONE + SKYPE Skills : • BA/BS degree or higher. • Passion for data exploration, data discovery is critical this role. • Experience in designing Enterprise scale conceptual, logical and physical data model. • Familiarity with ER data modeling techniques, as well as star schema. Understanding of OLAP vs. OLTP database design principals. • Experience in delivering financial services solutions preferred (investment banking, asset management, energy or oil trading). • Hands-on experience in two of the following: security master, data migration, data warehousing. • Expert knowledge of SQL, data modeling tools, data profiling tools. • Understanding of Data Virtualization and Business Intelligence concepts/technologies is helpful. • Familiarity with database capacity planning, scalability assessment. • Hands-on experience in high-performance system design (nice to have). • Excellent organizational skills with ability to work independently.
