This individual must also have been involved in leading multiple large scale projects related to AIX servers and providing computing solutions. Project design and delivery is a key function and the candidate should thrive in a fast paced environment. Knowledge of industry best practices related to server administration, monitoring, storage, backup, high availability and disaster recovery is required. We also require excellent interpersonal skills: the candidate must be customer-service focused and comfortable dealing with people at all levels of the organization. IBM AIX certification is preferred. Understanding of PCI/SOX and other compliance requirements along with experience with Retail & e-commerce operations is strongly preferred. Strong root cause analysis and documentation skills are a must. Specific Experience Required AIX 7.x, 6.x, 5.x NIM Servers HMC devices IBM hardware (Power Servers product line) Scripting expertise (ksh, Perl) Package Development Virtualization configurations using Virtual I/O Servers, LPARS Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent 8-10 years of experience Preferred Veritas High Availability and Storage Foundation Suite Monitoring tools e.g. Client OpenView or NetIQ Qualys or other scanning and remediation compliance tool skills ITIL Change Management Minimum Qualifications 8+ years of experience supporting UNIX Servers in a large corporate setting.
