Engagement Description
Primarily responsible for the DataPower lifecycle project. Create/configure
new webMethods and other middleware instances required by the project
teams. Create automation for routine support activities like installation,
enable/disable adaptors using scripts, BladeLogic or webMethods. Assist
development teams as webMethods administrator. Perform troubleshooting
and/or configuration changes to resolve middleware issues. Work with
webMethods vendor to identify product related issues and patches as needed.
Work with internal vulnerability management team on identification and
remediation of security issues. Write documentation for other
administrators. Participate in meetings with technical staff to discuss
issues in plans and strategies. Perform basic middleware admin support for
other technologies supported by the team: weblogic, apache, tomcat, and
others as needed.
Ensure BCBSM webMethods installations meet all security guidelines and
control requirements; update configurations as neededto meet security
standards and controls. Participate in additional weekend support as
required by project releases

Server infrastructure related experience.
IBM WebSphere Data Power XI50/52 Administration and Installation experience.
Experience with DataPower Life Cycle / Upgrade is a must.
WebSphere Application Server 6.x/7.x/8.x experience including installation,
configuration, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
Application Server such as JBOSS, TomCat, WebLogic, etc..
WebSphere Portal / WCM 7.X or higher Administration experience.
Experience with shell scripting.
IBM HTTP Server and Apache HTTP server experience.
High interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate with customers, vendors
and stake holders professionally.
Experience with UNIX / LINUX operating Systems. Such as AIX/Solaris/RHEL

Educational Requirements
BS Computer Science or equivalent.
Middleware Administrator
Bachelor Degree and 7 yrs technical experience or 12 yrs of technical
experience.
7 + years of server infrastructure related experience.
5+ years of IBM WebSphere Data Power XI50/52 Administration and
Installation experience.
Experience with DataPower Life Cycle / Upgrade is a must.
5+ years of WebSphere Application Server 6.x/7.x/8.x experience including
installation, configuration,
troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
