Business Analyst Description

immediate need for *BA candidates with GMP* (preferred, but not required if
they have strong BA experience) and* Electronic Document Management System
(EDMS) experience.*



Core Responsibilities

Act as the liaison between the business and R&D IT to perform the
following:

Drive, Elicit, and Prioritize Business Requirements to understand the true
business requirements and overall business need

Own the end to end process of drafting the formal business requirements
document, present walk though of the requirements and obtain sign off from
stakeholders

Conducts IT resource planning, system impact analysis and owner of the
project plan

Demonstrates high competency in leading efforts for elicitation, validation
and prioritization of user and functional requirements

Proven ability to develop Use Cases, User Stories and Test Scripts

Documents and validates business and functional requirements to the project
scope.

Facilitate and Lead meetings and workshops to ensure conversations with all
the key business stakeholders are involved and in alignment with overall
strategy and approach. Ideally seeking overall consensus and full and
accurate representation of Business Stakeholders.

Navigate political relationships and act as the mediator between differing
goals, objectives and approaches to identify a common agreeable ground.

Overall responsibility for UAT activities which includes supporting QA team
by coordinating users during the process and reviewing test scripts against
the traceability matrix (created by the Business Analyst)

High level IT understanding to communicate requirements effectively between
the Business Stakeholders and IT.

Example: Strong understanding of how Data is stored and the associated
processes for how data is accessed and utilized for new business
initiatives including Data Mapping and DB Tables and the relationships
between tables.

Working knowledge of Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid methodologies and BABOK
principles would be extremely beneficial



Soft Skills

Excellent Verbal and Written communication style and experience.

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within Biogen and can
understand the audience and the appropriate communication methodology for
each

Comfortable leading meetings and driving the purpose of the meeting with a
goal minded approach.



Desirable or Nice to Have Skills

Past experience with data migrations and/or transformation projects

Experience with formal business requirements gathering tools. Preferably
Blueprint Requirements Center.

Life Sciences experience in validated environments including GxP, GMP, GCP,
and GLP.

Will consider exceptional BA resources from outside the Life Sciences
Industries including Financial Services and Insurance Industry clients.

Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Lync, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and
Project.

Domain knowledge and experience with Research & Development processes;
21CFR Part 11 and/or SOX

Education/Experience Level

BA or BS in related field.

Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience as a business analyst, with expert
command of business analysis techniques, methodologies and tools.

CBAP certification is a plus, but not required.
