*Rate: $42/hr C2C * MUST HAVE SOLID COBOL, DB2 And IMS DB and IMS DC Healthcare industry experience is a plus but not required. Will be responsible for programming on specific application subsets of the company's application portfolio, participating in all phases of the development and maintenance life cycle, typically for an assigned business unit or corporate department and utilizing various customer technology platforms. Selected individuals should have strong technical skills to understand the solution proposed, complete requirements, complete development work (COBOL, DB2, IMS, tableBase) and see thru the development work till implementation. Regular work hours (M-F) The key is to complete the tasks assigned on time with minimum Subject Matter Expert help. QUALIFICATION/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Requires an AA, BA/BS degree or technical institute training and 5 or more years experience on one or more platforms, multi language and expert level experience with business and technical applications, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Incumbent should also have the ability to mentor others, lead multiple small projects and provide troubleshooting Strong technical expertise in mainframe based environment is required Strong development expertise in COBOL is required . Strong application development expertise in database technologies like DB2, IMS DB/DC is required.
