Rate: $40/hr *Job Description:* This is a junior to mid-level Linux role. We are looking for at least 2 solid years of Linux experience. This is a long term contract assigment that will last 12-24 months. Please see attached description for more details. Design, monitor and maintain critical business and clinical computer servers and services in a 24 hour a day healthcare environment. May focus on Open Systems (Unix and VMS) or on Windows NT, 2000/2003 servers. Troubleshoot and resolve complex server problems. Recommend and implement machine modifications or additional equipment to increase system capacities. Analyzes results of server monitoring and implements changes to improve performance, processing and utilization. Proposes, maintains and enforces server polices, practices and security procedures.
