Sr. Java developer, with experience in Digital Marketing space. The ideal
candidate will be responsible for design analysis, development, unit
testing, implementation, and deployment of new data driven web based
applications, as well as providing support for existing systems. This
position requires strong experience in Java residing on a Tomcat Server. He
should be able to work independently and within a team of developers to
deliver end-to-end web solutions for moderate to complex projects in a fast
paced environment.
*RESPONSIBILITIES*
· Need to work on various java-based development projects.
· Interact with BA/Client(s) to understand business problem(s)
being addressed by the
project.
· Review the requirements, assess the work effort, and estimate the
necessary time to
completion.
· Create unit test plans and scenarios for development unit testing.
· Work with peers to carry out code reviews and unit testing of new
development.
· Provide technical mentoring to junior developers.
· Document new development, procedures or test plans as needed.
· Interact with other development teams to ensure a consistent
approach to software
development.
· Communicate professionally and effectively to clients,
management, and other
departments.
· Prepare technical design documents using enterprise standard
documentation tools.
· Support system testing by following up on and closing defect
tickets in a timely manner.
· Deploy all integration artifacts to a testing and production
environment.
· Use JIRA and Confluence to communicate status and estimates to
the development
Team Lead, Managers and BA.
*BASIC QUALIFICATION:*
· Bachelor's/Master’s degree holder with 6+ years of application
development experience
· using Java technologies
· Minimum 3 years of experience in testing applications in Digital
Media and Advertising
· domain
· J2EE/ Web Services (REST, SOAP, JSON) based Web development;
· Experience with Java frameworks (Spring 3.x (Batch, MVC,
Security, Transaction), JSF
2.x, JUnit 4.x, Maven 3.x, Jenkins, Hibernate)
· Relational database experience specifically Oracle. Including SQL
stored procedure
Creation.
· Rational Application Developer or Eclipse experience.
· Experience with Software Development Life Cycle methodologies.
· Experience with database design, querying, stored procedures,
views, joins, performance
etc.
· Strong analytic problem-solving, critical thinking skills.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Amazon SQS
· Amazon Redshift
· Mobile development (native, PhoneGap, JQuery, AngularJS), HTML5
experience, a plus.
