Job Description:
The Contract Project Manager / Business Analyst role will be responsible
for successfully defining and executing a project to migrate a division of
our company from one corporate business system to another like system.
In addition to the project management activities, this role will be
responsible for documenting tasks and requirements for those tasks to
ensure all development and migration activities are clearly understood by
those responsible for the tasks in the project. To be successful in this
role the individual must have a strong technical background in a financial
services organization with the ability to document project tasks, take an
active role in the project and lead the team to successful on time
completion.
Job Duties
Primary responsibility is as the project delivery lead responsible for
all aspects of the project
Document and maintain project plan identifying major tasks to the level
of detail needed to track progress and ensure successful completion.
Provide regular updates to stakeholder on project status ensuring
transparency
Document business requirements for any necessary software development
work needed to accomplish the project goals
Provide guidance to management on issue resolution
Coordinate daily stand up meetings for primary project team members to
maintain focus and team oriented approach to project completion
Coordinate with shared services teams to facilitate issue resolution
Operate as primary escalation point for project related issues,
documenting same and providing leadership in ensuring issues resolution
Ensure project meetings are focused, purpose driven and not simply
"update meetings", facilitate taking things offline to work groups to
optimize team members time.
Knowledge and Skills Required
Excellent oral and written communicator
Excellent Word, Excel and Powerpoint skills
Proficient in Microsoft Project
Team player experienced in pitching in where necessary to get the job
done
Experienced as a project manager - 2-5 years experience
Proficient as a business analyst - 2-5 years experience
