Job Title: Lead Programmer Analyst Work Location: Columbia, SC Job Description: *Responsibilities:* Perform a variety of programming assignments by using Client standard development tools and methodologies. Build and maintain systems that meet stringent quality attributes such as performance and reliability. Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to: Actively participating in analyzing functional requirements, identifying inaccuracies and inconsistencies. Working independently or as a team with Business Analyst to develop and clarify requirements. Developing analysis diagrams such as use cases, flow diagrams etc. to document and communicate analysis results or issues to the project team. Understanding and using Client design standards and guidelines for designing applications and software modules. Using Microsoft tools such as Visual Studio, InfoPath, VSTS, SQL manager for software development. Helping maintain existing systems in production by analyzing performance and taking action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with manager and business owner. Maintaining confidentiality with regard to the information being stored and processed. Evaluating interrelationships between application components and ensuring no unintended changes are introduced in to the system. Participating and/or serving as a resource to technical solutions committees. Maintaining technical currency by keeping skills up to date through training, conferences, reading and collaboration with others. *Requirements:* 7+ years of experience in Application development Proficient with .NET, ASP.NET <http://asp.net/>, VB.NET <http://vb.net/>, Java Script, SQL 2008, WCF web and data services Experience with other technologies and tools such as Business Process Management, Workflow and CRM will be preferred. Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices Strong experience with designing and working with n-tier architecture and Service-Oriented architectures. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to troubleshoot software application issues by making programming changes and modification to configuration. Participate in an experienced, energetic team on a rapid, agile development schedule. Ability to quickly learn new concepts and adapt to a complex environment. Effective oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Understanding or experience with financial applications preferred. Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in order to respond to support production software systems.
