Develop an expert understanding of Polypaths and its associated IT development requirements. Maintain, extend, and support a robust end-to-end, overnight fixed-income position-risk batch. Integrate new desks, portfolios, and asset-classes into the platform, developing processes necessary to affect integration. Ensure respective trading desks and business support functions obtain an accurate start of day risk snapshot in a timely manner. Ensure that users can interactively use front-end tools to evaluate changes in both positions and market-rates intraday, on-demand without having to vie for back-end resources with background/batch processes. Support end-users in their questions about quantitative risk results. Provide assistance with vendor applications, and resolve everyday issues regarding both Polypaths and Intex (Structure Product & MBS market data and cash-flow engine). *Development* • Enable the delivery of future releases of Polypaths, Intex, and 3rd party MBS prepayment/default-loss models • Conduct/assist design discussions and project planning meetings • Deliver high quality functionality within demanding timescales • Perform/assist appropriate testing • Support/affect implementation activities • Establish working relationships with other IT departments and relevant business areas • Development activities related to both large scale projects and small tactical software deliveries • Quality reviews of designs and code *Business Analysis* • Translating user requirements to appropriate IT solutions • Document business requirements and software specifications • Investigate and resolve (where appropriate) issues / concerns raised by users • Liaise with other IT groups to resolve issues across system boundaries Testing • Assist the business and model review groups in model upgrades/enhancements • Identify user test cases to ensure system stability during upgrades and expansions *ESSENTIAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES* • Expert knowledge of mortgage-backed securities, structured trading products, fixed income instruments, and their hedges. • Expert knowledge of fixed income risk measures (duration, convexity, OAS, volatility, spread risk, basis risk) • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and spoken English) • Ability to work with minimal supervision and under pressure • Flexible approach to working hours and responsibilities • Ownership of tasks assigned to ultimate resolution • Ability to work on own or as part of a team *ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE (in order of importance*) • Experience working with the Polypaths Enterprise and AppPort applications, Intex (data and desktop applications), and 3rd party MBS prepayment models. • College degree in computer science or related field • At least five years’ application development and support experience using C++, Java, Perl, SQL, relational database (Oracle/Sybase/MS SQL Server), Excel, VBA macros • Previous working experience in the Sales & Trading business, specifically with front-office traders, risk managers, and quant teams • Technically proficient in : Windows operating system • Proven knowledge of project life cycles and track record of ownership of deliverables *IDEAL EXPERIENCE* • Graduate degree in finance or financial mathematics (MBA, MS, or PhD) • Project management experience (small to medium size projects) *Kindly Reply me back with all these details and your updated resume, if you are comfortable with this requirement*.
