*Long Term * *Phone/face 2 face* Job Description: UX/UI Developer is responsible for design and development of innovative solutions for desktop, mobile and web-based user experiences. This individual is responsible for working with other designers/developers to implement UI design patterns and frameworks that demonstrate our client's vision as the next generation of insurance applications. Responsibilities Develop innovative user interfaces and interactive models that leverage next generation web technologies to improve user productivity and operational efficiency Design information architecture, information design, visual design, wireframes, and interactive prototypes to support the complete cohesive user experience Collaborate with product teams to develop UI common components and design patterns that can be adopted and extended across product suites Qualifications 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design and front end development for desktop, mobile, and web-based applications Successful track record of delivering integrated, intuitive high-end user interfaces that contribute to toward market leadership Broad knowledge and advanced skills in visual design and appropriate technologies including Adobe Creative Suite (strong visual portfolio is preferred) Intimate knowledge of current web standards and best practices including cross-browser compatibility and responsive design methodologies Professional knowledge of information architecture, usability evaluation, UML, flow charts, class diagrams, user diagrams, activity and sequence diagrams Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, DHTML, AJAX, JavaScript and front end frameworks like JQuery, Ember JS, or Angular JS (additional experience in other client side languages and frameworks is preferred) Professional experience working with large development teams and SVN repositories Large site build experience is required including strong knowledge of web services using REST and JSON Agile/Scrum experience is desired but not a must Strong communication skills, oral and written; ability to communicate with and understand the needs of non-technical internal clients Comfortable working with Designers and Developers to help make the best possible end product Strives to turn around issues with an efficient and effective approach to the end customer's satisfaction Passionate commitment to the customer and to product quality.
