*Responsibilities* include but are not limited to the following: - Provide analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance of Java (JEE) applications; - Work closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business; - Write, translate and code software programs and applications according to specifications; - Provide maintenance, enhancement and support for a variety of the agency’s Java Applications; - Assist in the preparation and documentation of program requirements and specifications - Research and document requirements of program users; - Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines; - Work with network administrators, systems analysts and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems; - Provide mentoring and guidance to junior programmers. - Experience developing Java applications; - Experience in Java Frameworks such as Struts/Tiles, Struts 2, Servlets/JSP, JPA/Hibernate (3+ years); - Experience in XML, HTML and CSS (3+ years); - Experience using Subversion and Maven 2 and/or 3; - Experience with relational and object-oriented database designs; - Experience with object-oriented design methodologies; - Experience with Information Systems Development Methodology (ISDM); - Experience with database security, including role-based security; - Experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML); - Experience in the design and development of financial management systems (preferred); - Experience with accounting principles (preferred).
