This SQL Server Database Administrator will be joining our client’s
infrastructure team as a SQL Server database specialist, handling all the
day to day administration, upgrade/refresh, migrations, performance
monitoring, reporting and tuning tasks for 200+ SQL Server Databases in
production.



Specific day to day tasks for this SQL Server Database Administrator will
include:

-              Managing all the day to day Database Administration tasks
for a 200+ SQL Server Database environment.

-              Managing all databases within a SQL Clustered SAN
environment for performance optimization.  There are currently multiple
database clusters, each with a pair of nodes.  80% of our client’s
environment is clustered.

-              Managing a complex production database environment which
includes the above production clusters, as well as standalone databases and
additional non-production instances and systems

-              Leading a Database Server refresh to upgrade older versions
of SQL Server (like SQL Express, and SQL server 2008) and migrate to SQL
Server 2012/2014.

-              Providing technical support for SQL Database Tools (SSDT),
and all performance related issues

-              Conducting database monitoring and pulling statistics on
database performance through Report Services Server (SSRS)  - Default
Trace, RSTrace and System Health logs

-              Identifying problematic transactions that cause performance
issues – such as response time, lag time,

-              Diagnosing, troubleshooting and fixing performance problems
for both production and non-production databases.

-              Setting up and managing the rules and definitions for
automated data alerts



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL SKILLS



-              5-7+ years of SQL Server Database Administration

-              Expertise in SQL Server Reporting, Monitoring and Reporting
for Performance.

-              Strong skills in SQL Server Report Services Server (SSRS)
for performance reporting

-              Experience working with Default Trace, RSTrace, System
Health and other tools for performance statistics

-              Prior experience in upgrading and migrating databases to
newer releases

-              Expertise working in clustered SAN environments with
multiple nodes.

-              Strong SQL Scripting skills
