*Dayton, OH* *FACE 2 FACE* *ONLY GC, USC, EAD GC* Position Description The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst’s role is to study business requirements and design and implement BI software and systems to resolve those requirements that is commensurate with the incumbent’s years’ of experience and job level. This includes integrating databases, data warehouses, and data access tools with business processes to drive success. Job activities include prioritizing and selecting projects, gathering requirements, designing, testing, deploying, and supporting BI solutions to business constituents both within and without WinWholesale. In addition to these technical skills, these activities require the ability to effectively estimate tasks and work to achieve published goals and milestones. Applicant must have • Experience with the concepts of modern relational database management systems. • Be able to write basic TSQL queries against database objects as directed • Have an understanding of the difference between operational and decisional databases. • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or 2012 including o SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) o SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) o SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) o SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) o TSQL, including 2008 TSQL extensions • Understanding of the various information domains in a typical data warehouse environment • Must be able to do basic tuning and optimization of both operational and data warehouse databases warehouse • Must know how to tune queries to be more efficient and understand the basics of indexing schemes, contraints, be able to write fairly complex stored procedures, and be comfortable studying query execution plans • Must be able to write stored procedures, triggers, and views • Must be able to do basic Integration Services (SSIS) tasks such as importing and exporting data • Must be able to create prompted Reporting Services (SSRS) reports • Must be comfortable discussing database usage with developers • Must have a grasp of basic statistical analysis concepts Impact of Decisions • Decisions will impact defined functionality within the business intelligence / data warehouse environment • Must be able to identify key decision criteria • Decisions impact specific functions and uses of the BI / DW environment Problem Analysis and Resolution • Assist users with questions, problems, communications, and training • Discover and troubleshoot issues as they arise in the technical environment *Thanks and Regards* *Shweta Ojha* Sr. Technical Recruiter | Sage Group Consulting *Direct: *732-784-6492 *Email: *[email protected] *Gtalk: *sojha1290*|Ymail: *ojha1290 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle Users" group.
