Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the IT community to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations. Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately. Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers. Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed. Assists Project Manager(s) and/or Program Manager(s) in identifying and prioritizing opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise. Must possess advanced knowledge and proficiency in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques. This is an individual contributor role without human resource management responsibilities (e.g., hiring, performance management). Manages one or more projects of medium to high complexity. More senior role has responsibility for large, complex, cross-functional or multiple projects with greater impact to the enterprise. DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: ADMINISTRATION •ACT AS SINGLE POINT OF CONTACT AND LEAD ON ALL CLOUD-BASED INITIATIVES CONDUCTED BY CCIT. •ADVISE AND PROVIDE GUIDANCE DIRECTLY TO DEPUTY CIO FOR INFRASTRUCTURE AND CCIT EXECUTIVE STAFF ON CLOUD STRATEGIES OPERATIONAL •DEVELOP SHORT AND LONG TERM STRATEGIES FOR ENTERPRISE LEVEL CLOUD DEPLOYMENTS. THIS IS TO INCLUDE SERVICE EVALUATION, CONTRACTS AND PROCUREMENT, ONBOARDING, OPERATIONAL INTEGRATION AND (IF APPLICABLE) END-OF-LIFE “OFFBOARDING”. POSITION IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR FORECASTING BUDGET IMPACTS AND MAINTAINING OPERATIONAL BUDGETS FOR CLOUD SERVICES. •ORGANIZE AND COORDINATE WITH ISO STAFF TO DEVELOP TECHNICAL ARCHITECTURES AND SYSTEMS TO SUPPORT CLOUD SERVICES AT AN ENTERPRISE SCALE. •EVALUATE BOTH EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL CLOUD BASED PROJECTS TO DETERMINE VALUE TO BROADER CAMPUS COMMUNITY. DEVELOP BUSINESS MODELS AND TOTAL COST OF OWNERSHIP (TCO) VALUATIONS FOR PROSPECTIVE CLOUD SERVICES. REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE): TECHNICAL BACKGROUND IN COMPUTING ENVIRONMENTS AND INFRASTRUCTURE PREFERRED. EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION SKILLS (WRITTEN AND ORAL), ADAPTABILITY, FLEXIBILITY, SELF-MOTIVATION, PROBLEM SOLVING, ANALYTICAL THINKING, TIME MANAGEMENT, ABILITY TO WORK EFFECTIVELY IN A STRESSFUL ENVIRONMENT REQUIRED EDUCATION: A bachelors degree and experience in managing projects with moderate complexity and risk.
