*Job Description*

The Linux Administrator Consultant provides critical supporting services to
the Open Systems Engineering team, including but not limited to server
patching, documentation, troubleshooting, and execution of service
requests.



*Requirements*

Ø  Ability to perform intermediate-level support activities on Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 5.x and 6.x.

Ø  Ability to *work nights and weekends.*

Ø  Detail-oriented execution of tasks, including following technical
directions

Ø  Proactive communication of issues to peers and leadership Qualifications

Ø  *3 to 5 years’ experience as a Linux System Administrator.*

Ø  Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or
Information Systems discipline (or equivalent work experience).

Ø  Able to successfully contribute in cross-functional teams containing a
mixture of technical and non-technical peers.

Ø  Broad knowledge of Unix/Linux Systems technologies and industry trends.

Ø  Knowledge of scripting technologies using bash, and similar tools.

Ø  Demonstrated experience in any of the following considered a plus: ITIL
methodology, multipath support, Splunk queries, Red Hat boot process,
storage (NFS and block) connectivity.

Ø  Ability to troubleshoot server boot issues (virtual, and physical)
