*Position: UI Developer* *Location: San Jose, CA* *Duration: Contract* *RESPONSIBILITIES* · Work closely with the UI lead, other developers and product management to collect requirements that will translate to clean, usable, and modern user interfaces · Implement new UI functionality using angular.js · Implement user interfaces that work for both web and mobile clients · Keep up-to-date with Web and UI technologies · Translate design mock-ups into clean consistent user interfaces with implementation that is modular, re-usable and high-performance · Identify tools we can use for visualization and reporting and make recommendations · Work with backend engineers to ensure high performance at the user interface level · Use test-driven methodologies and automation in the design and development phase to ensure high-quality code before hand-off to Quality Assurance teams *REQUIREMENTS* · Bachelor’s degree in a technical subject (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering) from a top tier school; Master’s degree a plus · 5+ years development experience with web application development using JavaScript and Java · 5+ years with browser-side development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) · Has a “UI sense” · Understands UI application design, single-page-application pattern, MVC · Extensive experience with AngularJS · CSS3 knowledge and exposure · Good-to-excellent Javascript skills · Experience with cross-browser compatibility issues · Experience with security vulnerability issues at the UI level · Excellent knowledge of UI architectural patterns · Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills · Knowledge and passion for solid software engineering practices, release processes and project life cycles · Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to write clear functional specifications and design documents and engage with customers on technical discussions. · Self-directed; requires minimal supervision to work on products · Strong team player.
