*Linux Administrator* *San Francisco,* *CA* *Long Term* *Need someone with HP Cluster and very seasoned local resource from bay area who can come for in-person.* Administer multiple clustered and non-clustered Linux server environments. Maintain server operating system (OS) patch levels and software deployment versions. Develop and sustain automated bare-metal, OS, and application software deployment. Conduct periodic maintenance and enhancement of the existing environment. Track development and operational support via user and technical tasks in tracking tools including ServiceNow and JIRA. Must be familiar with life science and biopharmaceutical environment and research and development *Essential Responsibilities: * Experience to work with few hundred cores, multiple nodes Using a multitude of tools and utilities for managing, monitoring and troubleshooting Linux infrastructure and networks Recommend and execute Linux server hardware and software configuration, installation, patching, integration, upgrades and performance tuning Support daily operations to Linux server such as capacity management, performance monitoring, provisioning, and network systems connectivity Define and implement automated system installation/configuration procedures Troubleshooting application, O/S, networking and performance issues *Qualifications* *Minimum Qualifications:* Hands-on experience of system setup Ability to configure and deploy server builds. Linux shell scripting Fluent on different high-level languages Strong experience with Linux administration. Must have desire to learn new skills and work with new technologies. Experience working in a scientific environment.
