*Position: Senior Network Engineer*

*Qualifications:*
- B.A. or B.S. in a technical field or a relevant combination of
education and experience.
- *CCNP, CCDP, and Network+ preferred.*
- *5+ years of expertise in implementing, administering, and
troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including: firewalls,
routers, switches, wireless access points and controllers, and monitoring
applications.*
- Intermediate to expert understanding of firewall configuration and
maintenance, experience with *SonicWALL equipment preferred.*
- Intermediate to expert experience with configuration, installation,
troubleshooting, and supporting
- Cisco Routers and Switches
- Cisco and Meraki Wireless (WiFi) equipment
- Riverbed Steelheads WAN optimization equipment
- SolarWinds Orion Network Monitoring Tools
- Comfortable documenting and explaining network topologies
- Understand and diagram existing networks
- Diagram, explain and plan for future upgrades
- Experience deploying and/or maintaining an enterprise campus wifi
network
- Intermediate to expert with *802.1q VLANs* and working within industry
best practices
- *Intermediate to expert experience with MPLS WANs or DMVPN *
technologies
- General patch cable termination capabilities (Cat5e / Cat6)
- Experience building and maintaining fiber optic networks
- *Understanding of 802.11G/N in both the 2.4 and 5 GHz frequencies*
- Ability to engineer, build, and test network equipment for optimum
coverage and reliability
- General understanding of VoIP equipment and operation
- Powering the phone
- Getting voice and data networks to a phone
- Able to work with a VoIP provider to deploy and support
- *Knowledgeable in application transport and network infrastructure
protocols (SSL/TLS, DNS, DHCP, WINS, NTP, FTP, HTTP, SMTP, CIFS, SNMP,
LDAP, and Microsoft AD), and possess an understanding of how to support
these applications / protocols when accessed through VPN and firewall
appliances*
