*Position : Sr./Lead Network Engineer with Juniper * *Location : Chicago, IL * *Duration : 6+ Months * *Interview : Phone then Face to Face * *SHIFT* · 2nd Shift 2p-11p plus some weekends · These positions will cover 2nd shift and weekends and be teamed up with a group from India. There is flexibility especially for weekends over time. *Certification* · SHOULD HABE an active CCNP or JNCIP + Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering, or equivalent technical aptitude · Our client is primarily an *Arista Switch* shop however one of our larger clients whom we deploy, configure, and support their network devices is a Juniper shop. The ideal candidate will have excellent skills in both. · From a Juniper perspective*, they must have worked with QFX and SRX Firewalls*. · The candidates must be able to demonstrate Layer 1 technology, L2-L3 Routing and Switching technology during interviews – primarily* BGP and IP Multicast*. · Since this is an implementation engineer they must be able to demonstrate their implementation and configuration skills. This is a very hands-on position which again, requires attention to detail and quality. *Job Responsibilities* · Must be able to lead and account for Mid-level and Junior Implementation Engineers’ changes. · Function as a Team and Technical Lead for Mid-level and Junior Implementation Engineers · Must be able to deploy changes on a daily basis with little to no guidance. · Able to troubleshoot and correct configurations. · Take design and/or concepts and construct valid configuration for implementation. · Conduct peer review of configurations scheduled for deployment · Work directly with other network engineers to represent and/or review changes · Participate in daily meetings to review changes and underlying impacts · Function as Level 2 network escalation · Manage internal and external customer tickets · Report back to senior network engineering team for guidance and direction · Escalate to Change Requestors and Engineers as needed · Assist with Network Monitoring during Second Shift (as needed) *Job Requirement* · 7-10 Years of experience with Cisco or Juniper network hardware · This candidate should be strong in BGP, OSPF, NAT, and Multicast Routing · Able to troubleshoot issues with packet captures and sniffers · Capable of working on a Second Shift (typically between 2pm to 10pm EST) · Excellent verbal communication skills required. · Excellent documentation skills required. · Must be able to interpret small amounts of information, sometimes incomplete, and determine root causes while developing and implementing quick solutions. · Able to deal with external client’s problems and requests while keeping internal commitments on schedule and satisfying business requirements. *Optional / Preferred Skills* · JNCIS and/or CCNP certifications or equivalent work experience within a service provider network · CCNP – Service Provider Routing & Switching · Experienced with Juniper SRX, MX, EX platforms · Experiences in a service provider network · Experienced in firewall policies and MPLS networks · Experience with Corvil Appliances, F5 Load Balancers, Cisco ASA, and JunOS Space · Familiarity with Linux, and Automation Scripting in Bash or Python · Understanding of JIRA as a ticketing system Regards Sandeep Chauhan Technical Recruiter VSG Business Solutions 221, Cornwell Dr, Bear, DE 19701 Contact No.: 302-261-3207 X 103 Email: [email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle Users" group.
