Responsibilities include but are not limited to support for network hardware, software and connectivity. The individual selected for this position will carry out support efforts that include but are not limited to: 1. This position actively supports mission critical on-going Data Center Consolidation Project initiatives, specifically those related to the Public Safety Cluster migrations such as the Integrated Justice Advisory Board (IJAB) Portal, Statewide Automated Biometric Identification System (SABIS), and New York City Police Department (NYPD) connectivity, including network architect for external connectivity and failover for IJAB as well as troubleshooting. 2. 24x7 on-call availability for trouble-shooting / ticket resolutions. 3. Implement, configure and troubleshoot issues on Juniper Firewall system 4. Implement, configure and troubleshoot issues on Checkpoint firewall system. 5. Implement, configure and troubleshoot Tandberg Gateway/Express system. 6. Develop and implement network infrastructure solutions based on Cisco L2/L3 switches, Cisco QOS 802.1p. 7. Design, implement, configure and troubleshoot Cisco wireless infrastructure. 8. Support of Local and Wide Area Network(LAN/WAN) environments requiring extensive experience in the use of advanced routing protocols 9. Knowledge of connectivity requirements for a Websphere environment.
