*Details: Long Term Contract* *Work Status: GC/US Citizen* *Process: Phone In-Person* *Rate: $70 C2C * *FACE 2 FACE* *ONLY GC, USC* Summary In concert with other members of the software development team, the DevOps Engineer provides the flexible infrastructure capacity and delivery capability that makes the Agile development team truly agile. By using leading-edge tools and technologies, s/he leverages the Amazon Cloud and Amazon Web Services to automate the build-out of virtual infrastructure and continuous integration of developed software. As such, s/he is an active and integral member of the development team. Responsibilities Building out the Amazon Cloud virtual infrastructure using AWS EC2, EBS, S3, Route 53, RDS and VPC. Automating the build-out and deployment of virtual nodes using Chef, Puppet, AWS and other tools. Automating the build, check-in and deployment processes using Chef, Jenkins, Go and similar tools. Custom-scripting build and deployment processes using Ruby, Perl and other scripting languages. Configuring Amazon Cloud infrastructure. Interacting with team members and client technical staff to both understand client needs and explain technical work. Participating in Scrum team activities, like stand-ups, sprint planning and sprint reviews. Assisting with architectural planning and review. Aiding other team members in achieving their work objectives.. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field. 7 years of experience in computer infrastructure, hardware, software and support. 7 years of experience with scripting languages, like Perl, C shell or similar. 3 years of experience with virtualization, Linux/Unix 1 year of experience (2 years preferred) with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and delivery of Cloud native solutions. 1 year (3 years preferred) of experience with Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Git, Go and other DevOps tools. 1 year experience working on Agile software development teams. Solid written and verbal communication skills.
