Guide the selection process for the most appropriate, highest-value technical solution. · Contribute to the use of best practices in the design and architecture of FAS¹s enterprise applications. · Provide accurate and timely estimates for projects ranging from multi-million dollar initiatives to enhancements. · Ensure code and designs meet all specifications, quality, architectural and security standards. · Comply with FASs configuration management/version control policies. · Participate in peer technical reviews. · Develop and execute software test plans (unit and integration testing). · Communicate timely status updates and issues to the project team. · Use and improve the SDLC standards and Agile methods and guidelines for FAS IT. · Write the technical and user manuals. · Train the business users, system administrators, and application maintenance group. · Participate in the development of IT¹s strategic direction and standards framework. · Maintain in-depth knowledge of FAS¹s business, strategic and technology plans. Qualifications: *Education:* BA or BS in computer science or related subject. *Experience:* · 5 + years combined experience as a developer for complex application development projects, including demonstrated expertise with: · Multi-tiered application architectures using the Microsoft .NET framework platform · Microsoft Visual Studio and associated toolset · Both web and client/server architectures for applications and services · Batch jobs · Utility scripts · Source Control and Change Management · Technical writing · Configuration and deployment of new applications on Windows client workstations. · 5 years¹ experience above must include demonstrable participation in the entire SDLC & Agile process (requirements and analysis through implementation and closeout). · 4 years experience in middle tier development (can overlap with 5 years above). · 4 years experience writing complex SQL in Oracle environment. · Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Additional Information: Desired Qualifications · Experience with current state-of-the-art architectures and design patterns including: AJAX, JQuery, Java (Scripts) MVVM, HTML5, WSDL, WCF, and SOA, C# in ASP .NET, MVC5, CSS3, and SSIS · Ability to manage multiple tasks in a demanding project and production support environment. · Strong business ethics (work-ethic, self-monitoring). · Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a project team. · Strong analytical and problem solving, interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills. · Experience working in an Agile environment and extensive knowledge in modern GUI design is desirable. Full cycle application development from concept to requirements development, design/code, test and deployment. Ability to work with other developers and conduct knowledge transfer and training.
