·         I m looking for a consultant in Carle Place for a server
migration project, someone with Windows Servers and hardware and
virtualization and virtual

·         *we need to basically upgrade/remove old, end of life operating
systems windows server 2003 - we need someone to help us go through and
upgrade them all *

·         *theres 20 servers that will need to be coordinated with
application and server owners *

·         *expert in server hardware, server viritualization*

·         *someone who has hardcore worked on servers, load operating
systems, done upgrades*

·         *someone who knows how to build and manage servers*

·         *upgraded/built a server thats what we need*

·         *some may have to be built brand new server *



Job Description:

Our client is presently looking for a Server Migration Consultant to add to
their growing team.

You will be responsible for eliminating End of Life (EOL) Windows Operating
Systems to meet compliance standards.

This individual will also be responsible for the build, virtualizing (P2V),
testing and upgrade initiatives for the AD and Windows Server
infrastructure.



Required Skills:

·         Remove/Upgrade EOL and nearing EOL Operating Systems

·         Coordinate with other departments on security related tasks and
procedures.

·         Follow best practices and processes based on industry and vendor
published best practices.

·         Provide Change Control Requests for the deployment of new
applications or infrastructure related changes.

·         Physical and Virtual server provisioning based on standards and
templates.

·         Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to
transform technical knowledge into business language.

·         Ability to work successfully with others in large and small teams.

·         Ability to multi-task, manage deadlines and keep sight of overall
objectives.



Technical Skills:

·         STRONG experience building and supporting virtual servers using
Vmware, Vsensor.

·         STRONG HP and Dell Server hardware maintenance and administration.

·         Basic understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Group
Policy design and management.

·         Experience with Windows Servers and Workstations

·         Basic understanding of networks and firewalls.

·         Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to apply them
during business impacting incidents.
