*Title:** DevOps - Release Automation Engineer* *Location: **Manhattan, NYC* *Duration: 12-months + on-going contract* *Interview Mode: Telephonic and Face to Face* *Job Description:* *Position Description:* • Key skills: *Octopus Deploy, MS Build, PowerShell, AWS,* Azure, NuGet, CI / CD concepts, release management • 10+ years of professional expertise in the Information Technologies (IT) industry; • Minimum 5 years plus relevant experience in Application Development lifecycle, Automation and Release and Configuration Management • Setting up the environments from Development to Productions in a Microsoft Environment (.NET) • Cloud computing experience – AWS; Azure • Clear understanding of code movement processes (branching and integration). • Clear understanding of Continuous Integration processes and software: TFS, TeamCity, Jenkins. • Clear understanding of Continuous delivery and configuration processes and software: Puppet, WebDeploy. • Experience with Build Automation tools: MSBuild & Octopus Deploy (for .NET Applications) • Experience in working with Incident and Bug tracking systems: JIRA, Mantis, TFS. • Knowledge of the monitoring systems • Knowledge in administrating web servers and applications: Tomcat, IIS. • Understanding of XML, Web Service technologies and data structure Fundamentals. • Experience in working with MS SQL Server 2012 and Oracle Database 11gR2 Databases. • Experience in building and supporting ESXi and HYPER-V infrastructures • Considerable experience in the following disciplines - TFS (Team Foundation Server), DevOps, Continuous Delivery, Release Engineering, Application Architect, Database Architect, Information Modeling, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Quality Assurance, Branch Management, Network setup and troubleshooting, Server setup, configuration, maintenance and patching • Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery • Solid understanding and experience working with high availability and high performance, multi-data center systems and hybrid cloud environments. • Proficient with Agile methodologies and working closely within small teams and vendors • Knowledge of Deployment and configuration automation platforms • Extensive PowerShell experience • Extensive knowledge of Windows based systems including hardware, software and .NET applications • Strong ability to troubleshoot complex issues ranging from system resources to application stack traces • Experience working in a large production environment, supporting customers, regionally and globally. *Preferred: * • ITIL Foundation Certification preferred. • Agile experience preferred. • 7-10 yrs experience working knowledge of LANDesk or other software distribution and asset management systems. – Required • Citrix experience – Required • Microsoft Technologies (operating system, commercial products, .net framework) experience - Required • Scripting Language(s): PowerShell, VB Script (Required), Python, PERL (Desired) • 5-7 yrs experience in server and/or application configuration experience - Required *Required Education:* • BA/BS degree (preferably a MS), in computer science, information systems, software engineering or a related field.
