Responsibilities include capacity monitoring and planning, system troubleshooting, hardware installations and repair, software and operating system installs/upgrades, security design/strategy, system architecture design, and automation/scripting of system tasks. The Systems Engineer also ensures efficient and reliable system operation, provides technical support to IS application teams, monitors emerging technology developments, and identifies opportunities and issues for improvement. Staff must provide support coverage 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
