Title: Sharepoint Designer Location: Raleigh, NC
Duration: 12+ Months Rate: $55/hr C2C The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is seeking an expert level SharePoint Designer contractor for an approximate 12 month engagement on the enhancement to the Wetland Mitigation Online System, working jointly with the Web Services Team and the GIS Unit. This effort will enhance the existing Wetlands Mitigation Online System by providing a more in-depth integration between documents stored in SharePoint and the spatial information that is retained and accessed on GO!NC. This integration includes adhering to the Web Services and GIS standards for NCDOT. This resource will be dedicated to this work effort through implementation and will be assigned to NHC Cubicle 034. *Major duties include:* · Consult with customers to ensure implementation is on track to meet expectations. · Develop scripts, program modules, and applications as needed for implementation, testing, and maintenance. · Develop and implement operations and maintenance processes for NCDOT staff. · Assist with reviews (design, code, etc.) and make recommendations for required changes and suggestions for improvement. · Develop test plans for all levels of testing. Develop and execute regression, design verification, and performance tests. Skills Years of Experience Front end design/development experience Ability to create, configure and update pages in SharePoint using Web Parts Ability to read and generate wireframes and story boards before diving in Ability to effectively organize and present large amount of content to end users Ability to create designs that work well in mobile, using techniques like responsive web design Querying data on the front end via REST or SPServices SharePoint page editing and front end design/branding experience Experience with page prototyping with paper or mockup software Experience with customizing the SharePoint settings that define the look and feel of SharePoint sites Knowledge of XML, JSON and JavaScript Knowledge of information architecture Experience in working with developers integrating web applications into SharePoint SharePoint Designer or 2013 A text editor, like Visual Studio, VM, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery SharePoint Experience Out of the box SharePoint Web Parts HTML/CSS/Javascript Familiarity with anonymous access SharePoint 2013 Strong skills in development of analysis procedure, complex system integration, software configuration management, and development processes Highly desired knowledge with ESRI’s ArcGIS product line to include advanced knowledge of ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online application development Experience integrating SharePoint with GIS spatial data, Esri-based geospatial web services, and Esri’s ArcGIS Online Experience working with Esri products including ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Server?
