DB2 Database Administrator, NYC,NY

Will required in person interview
The position requires a valid driver's license.
The candidate must also be willing and able to travel within the service
territory as required to attend meetings and provide support as necessary.
The candidate must be flexible with respect to working off-hours as
required for database projects or upgrades, production support or in
response to corporate emergencies.

Selected candidate will perform various tasks including identifying
database requirements, maintaining application databases, performing
modifications to databases, developing database queries and procedures,
enforcing database security and maintaining data backup/recovery
procedures.
The candidate will also be involved with database performance monitoring
and tuning, and managing highly-available production database instances for
corporate systems.
These databases are critical to the efficient operation of the systems used
by various business entities throughout New York City and Orange &
Rockland.

Skills & Requirements
This position is for a DB2 Database Administrator.
A qualified candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience
in DB2 database administration including DB2 V10 or later, standard DB2
utilities, SPUFI, Stored Procedures, JCL, TSO/ISPF, QMF, File Manager for
DB2, BMC Alter and BMC Load Plus.
Candidate must have excellent interpersonal, communication and
documentation skills.
Candidate must be available to work weekends and overtime, if necessary.
Candidate must have the permanent right to live and work in the United
States.

The following are not required for this position but would be considered as
a valuable asset in a potential candidate.
Experience with application development ,Windows, Office, ACF2 or RACF,
Systems Managed Storage, DASD Storage, BizTalk, IMS, TMON, Cobol, VSAM,
CICS, Clists and Rexx.
