*Position: OBIEE Developer* *Location: Albany, NY* *6+Months* *ETL Responsibilities: * · Heavy OBIEE Experience · Extensive experience with OBIEE · Designing, developing and testing complex Extract, Transformation, and Load routines using Informatica. · Researching and evaluating alternative database solutions and recommending the most efficient and cost-effective solution for the project, ensuring consistency with enterprise direction. · Writing complex SQL statements and stored procedures to collect, analyze, and report on data across multiple functional and line of business systems in response to customer requirements. · Providing direction, guidance, and technical support to clients, applications, and operations areas; analyzing data requirements and developing ETL solutions to support Data Warehouse initiatives. · assisting in the identification and resolution of inefficiencies in ETL designs, and determining and implementing solutions for ETL design problems; analyzing the impact of source system data design changes as they relate to existing ETL solutions and making appropriate changes to existing ETL solutions. · Performing data profiling, and designing ETL solutions to accommodate any nuances that may exist. · Working with implementation team to ensure smooth deployment of packages and ensuring resolution of outstanding issues; creating tables, analyzing scripts for ETL, and analyzing the data to be loaded. · Developing, testing and maintaining all processes and procedures that manage incoming and outgoing files and jobs; assigning and managing contractors as required. · Ensuring communications and inclusion of all impacted departments related to the reports being developed or modified; coordinating activities for ETL/OBIEE for all reports being developed or modified. · Researching and providing alternatives and recommendations based on best practices and application functionality. · Supporting Reporting Team for ETL of data for BI; performing functional analysis and design for all ETL related projects for OBIEE. · Work on refreshing Dev/SIT/UAT Informatica environments on regular basis as per the project needs. · Providing application support/troubleshooting a variety of ETL related problems; performing/supporting user acceptance testing and unit testing. · Provide production support to ETL applications as needed. · Participate in defining standards and best practices for administration. *Education Required:* · Must have Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field plus 2 years of experience as a Developer; in the alternative, may have a Bachelor's degree (U.S. degree or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field, plus 5 years of experience as a Developer. *Background & Experience Required:* - Working knowledge in all phases of ETL development life cycle. - Experience in developing, support and maintenance for the ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) processes using Informatica power center. - Must be able to collaborate with the Data Warehouse Architect, key stake holders, business users and staff members to develop information solutions, define and analyze detailed customer requirements and system interfaces, assess available technologies, and present and develop solutions. - Experience in analyzing business requirements, developing detailed technical designs and implementing solutions for our enterprise information needs. - Experience in to define and estimate technical solutions, documents functional specifications, and prepare test plans/scripts for application testing. - Proven analytical skills. - Technical Skills / Knowledge Preferred: Informatica; Oracle 11G; SQL; Linux/Unix Shell scripting, DAC (Data Warehouse Administration Console) or other scheduling tools, Tortoise SVN. Experience in writing stored procedures in PL/SQL and UNIX Shell Scripts for automated execution of jobs. Responsible for supporting production, test, regression and development environments for tuning and Optimization needs.
