 Job Title: *Security network engineer*

Job description:

The Network Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance and management
of security infrastructure. This individual will also be responsible for
administration and configuration of network security hardware and software,
enforcing the network security policies and complying with requirements of
internal and external security audits and recommendations. The Network
Engineer will provide strategic decision making and tactical improvements
to the company’s network security.

The Network Engineer is charged with providing support functions including
problem determination and resolution, technical solution development,
policies, procedures and processes governing the use and operation of the
network infrastructure assets. Thus, this position requires an emphasis on
problem management and project management as well as building and
maintaining positive business relationships with the IT organization,
clients, and vendors utilizing the skills to develop business cases that
align with the development of network technology.

*Essential Duties And Responsibilities*

·         Manage 3rd party vendors for remote network monitoring and
resolution supporting domestic and international network connectivity,
which includes retail stores.

·         Ensure that proposed and existing networks are aligned with
organizational goals and objectives.

·         Management and maintenance of the network security operations.

·         Responsible for implementing secure network procedures that are
in compliance with PCI.

·         Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network
configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.

·         Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, and
associated training plans for network administration, usage, and disaster
recovery.

·         Design and deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks,
including network servers, routers, hubs, switches and other network
hardware.

·         Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and
standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry.

·         Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software
upgrades.

·         Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors
to secure network products and services.

·         Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation
for fulfilling business objectives and processes.

·         Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as
needed.

·         Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations,
telephony & conferencing equipment, fax machines, and other network
appliances.
