Munual QA Tester : New York, New York Job Description: The manual QA Tester serves a key role in validating the quality of all project deliverables and code supporting the project. QA analysts will have a strong understanding of software development methodologies, and experience developing and executing tests covering multiple types of testing. They will have experience working on multiple large enterprise and Agile product development efforts. QA analysts must possess strong technical and soft skills, balancing the strengths of quality team members with software developers and enabling team members to conduct all tasks necessary to certify the solution. Team members may not possess all skills listed below; however, a solid mix of these skills and experience listed are required. Required Skills: Working experience with JIRA, Git/BitBucket, Jenkins. Independently manages all QA and testing activities as assigned for test planning and execution, addressing blocks or issues affecting progress, working all defects associated with application under test to closure. Hands on experience working with Project or Business Teams to review business requirements and use cases, providing feedback to improve product completeness, quality and testability. Experience working in a Test-Driven Development environment, reviewing unit tests (created by developers) and gauging overall quality and code coverage. Demonstrate ability to write manual test scripts from scratch. Experience working in Agile pods or Scrum teams, within the confines of iteration based ALM and SDLC practices, as well as deep experience in all facets of Agile development. Usability testing and or heuristic inspections. Project Overview: The project will be re-designing and developing two major legacy systems using bleeding edge Java and open-source technologies. Legacy system functionality will be ported over to the new system and re-designed when necessary.
