Under limited supervision, the Senior Systems Analyst reviews, analyzes and evaluates business processes and requirements to determine the solutions best suited to improve processes and fulfill requirements. Working in conjunction with the ICMA-RC Business Analyst, the Senior Systems Analyst assesses the suitability of technology solutions in terms of their intended outcomes, and liaises with stakeholders such as business partners, compliance, vendors, and technology counterparts to achieve those outcomes. Applies extensive knowledge of systems analysis concepts, practices and procedures in order to design and implement technology solutions. Utilizes functional and technical expertise to formulate recommendations and solutions to achieve business strategies. Identifies and formulates system designs to parallel stakeholder requirements and overall business strategies in accordance with standards and procedures. The Senior Systems Analyst is responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation and for obtaining client and technology management approvals. Assists in the creation and execution of test strategies, plans and test cases. On occasion, performs analysis and troubleshooting of production issues by identifying problems, their root causes, and recommending remedies.
