Job Title: MCPD: ASP.NET Developer 3.5 Location: Memphis, TN Duration: 12 Months + Summary: Under general direction, uses software development and programming skills to architect solutions and develop/maintain business applications using .Net technologies and Microsoft SQL Server. Responsibilities: Provides development capabilities for several simultaneous departmental software applications and technology-related projects, including custom development and integration with other applications. Works with Development Director to scope and estimate requirements for multiple applications. Responsible for properly testing new development prior to User Acceptance Testing. Uses process maps, use cases, and other similar tools to communicate effectively with other application team members. Provides general IT consultation to project team members and users where necessary. Carries out special projects and assignments as requested. Personal Characteristics: Excellent relational and technical skills. Enjoys working both independently and on team projects. Internal drive to keep up with emerging technologies and skill sets. Internal drive to meet deadlines. Pride in development ability indicated by compulsion to produce defect-free solutions. Ability to "see puzzle pieces and put them together effectively." Ability to provide technical solutions in a user-friendly way. Dependable Experience: *MCPD: ASP.NET or MCPD: Enterprise Applications Developer 3.5 The ideal candidate has 3-5 years either in a business applications or software development environment with a strong emphasis on programming and problem solving. This position requires an ability to relate to team members in order to meet project goals in a timely manner. Technical skills include ASP.net, SQL Server (versions 7 through 2005 preferred) Database design/administration, Microsoft Transact SQL, VB.net, HTML, VBScript and JavaScript. Experience with Visual Studio is necessary. VBA (Microsoft Office), C#, and Mobile Development are a plus.
