*Position: Oracle Database Administrator
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Duration: 18 month contract*

*Rate: $30/hr (Not Negotiable)*

Must have *telecom* experience or will not be considered all relevant
skills/experience listed below must be present in the summary and throughout
each candidates resume or they will not be considered.

Oracle Database Administrator with 5-7 years experience is needed for a
centralized DBA group providing 7x24 support for development, test and
production systems in a Multi-Vendor, UNIX* *environment. Job will include
support for multiple applications and versions of Oracle. Normal work
schedule is 8-5 Monday thru Friday. DBA will be on-call 7X24 for one week
out of every 2 months on average. Must also be prepared to support releases
and maintenance activities on weekends and nights as required. The off-hours
maintenance/release activity will average 1 weekend per month for approx 4-6
hours. Excellent communication skills are required.

Responsibilities include designing, installing, upgrading, patching, tuning,
monitoring, troubleshooting, capacity planning and security administration,
supporting multiple applications concurrently. Required skills include *UNIX
and Scripting*, and support of Oracle databases including *Oracle SQL,
Performance Tuning, RMAN Backup and Recovery*, and general database
troubleshooting. Additional desirable skills include Advanced *Replication,
Data Guard, Streams, PLSQL, and RAC*.
