Position: *Sap Conversion and Interfaces developer* Location: East Lansing MI** Duration: 6 months Contract to hire Job Description: Demonstrable experience in planning, designing and executing complex data conversion strategies for enterprise level applications; Full system life cycle experience in implementing interfaces between SAP ECC 6.0 (HCM) integrated, applications built using J2EE technologies and legacy applications; demonstrable experience in problem resolution; excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; ability to lead the conversions and interfaces team; Experience with Data Profiling, Data Cleansing and Extract Transform Load (ETL) tool is preferred. The primary responsibilities include - Will be responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing strategies for conversions and interface of systems/data. - Develops data migration/interface validation strategies, which ensure data integrity, accuracy, transformation, completeness, error control, duplicate control, and load process. - Will work with cross-functional technical and business users. - Assess and prioritize the order of critical conversions and interfaces. - Establish necessary project plans and determine effective allocation of available resources. - Consult with stakeholders to determine retention and warehousing techniques for institutional data, and help determine the most efficient and effective software for various purposed for transferring this data, while maintaining data integrity. - Will consult with departmental staff that uses this central data in their business operations, to assist them as they prepare for any needed changes to current systems. - Translates the conversion processes from technical terms into process and business testing terms to assist the functional teams in their testing. - Performs functional systems reviews, including integration of business functions, user interface design, and database design. - Independently works with customers to analyze problems or needs with cross-system issues on projects of highest sensitivity, complexity, sensitivity or complexity. - Interacts with major administrative unit directors, administrators and managers - in order to answer questions, recommend and explain proposed technology solutions, resolve problems, and exchange information.
