Its a sure closure. *Position Title: Sr. SAP ABAP Developer* *Location: Chicago, IL* *Duration: 6 months, with possible extensions* *LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY!!!!!!!* *Start Date: ASAP * *Position Description: * Support the business processes that are supported by the SAP application from a technical perspective. These include Financial functions (financial accounting, cost accounting, treasury), leasing functions, billing, materials management and purchasing. Work with business users to gather requirements, develop solutions using SAP's ABAP programming language, test solutions and roll-out to the business. Comply with company standards of development and documentation (Internal standards, Sarbanes Oxley, etc). Focus should be on producing value added results in a timely manner with high quality. *Primary contacts will be: * 1) Primary users of SAP and their managers. Users will be working directly with the ABAP contractor to log support issues and make enhancement requests. Business Managers work with the IT staff to determine which enhancements provide business value and to help define requirements with the users. User interaction will be needed in testing and deployment processes as well. 2) There are several other SAP ABAP developers. ABAP developers work as a team to collaborate on best approach to solving issues and addressing new requirements. Heavy Interaction with the Configuration staff will also be required as solutions often involve both configuration and ABAP development. *Secondary contacts: * 1) Application Support resources for areas outside of SAP that interface to SAP such as our emerging web environment, our mainframe environment, etc. 2) SAP Infrastructure (BASIS) resources. 3) Data Architecture resources. The Sr. ABAP Contractor should be able to work both collaboratively with the above mentioned staff and independently as needed to perform analysis and development tasks. Ability to do thorough impact analysis in order to make good decisions is crucial.
