* **Job Description for our Consultant (Includes Daily responsibilities and expectations):* This position will report into the Enterprise Architecture team and provide senior level consulting services at the Architect level to develop architectural strategies for developing and delivering new applications leveraging the Microsoft Share Point platform. Responsible for *leading strategy, design development, and technical leadership*, as well as providing guidance on best practices and standards for *overall management of the application and infrastructure components of the MOSS/Share Point solution* - Lead a matrixed team *responsible for a complex Share Point solution*, involving c*ustom development integrated into MOSS, leveraging the built-in workflow and notification capabilities*. Solution may involve integration to other applications via services and other integration methods. - Provide *architectural guidance* to development activities and resources - Lead the Implementation of Share Point using a variety of security architectures, including: intranet / internet, LDAP / Forms authentication and Single sign-on - *Advanced MOSS 2007 troubleshooting* - Develops and promotes best practices for Share Point usage, operations, and development * **Required Skills (needed to successfully complete responsibilities):* ** - 5-8+ years experience leading software / consulting development teams - 5+ years experience gathering business requirements and translating them into work products - 3*-5+ years of Share Point Subject Matter Expertise*: including experience *designing scalable SharePoint architectures for collaboration, document management, reporting, search, and line of business application integration*. Must have a solid understanding of how to leverage *MOSS business data catalog, workflow, and automation capabilities.* ** - 2+ projects involving *the transformations of strategic requirements into successful SharePoint solutions*: - 5+ years development experience in C#, VB.NET and ASP.NET - MCP/MCTS Share Point Preferred *Additionally, * - Possess highly advanced technical and analytical skills and a thorough understanding of the software implementation and architectural practices. - Technical exposure and understanding of the distributed architecture and web environment. - Maintain current knowledge of marketplace changes, technology changes, and client businesses relevant to the domain. - Demonstrates advanced analytical skills. - Possesses an in depth knowledge of programming languages and software design methodologies (e.g., OOAD). - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
