Send resumes to *[email protected]*<[email protected]> Title: Production Support Data WAN Location: Sacramento, CA Local candidates Duration:6+ Months Rate: $70 PROJECT SCOPE/TASKS The scope of this project encompasses the following tasks: • Assist with day-to-day management of the LAN/WAN networks according to industry best practices and standards. • Provide liaison support to the DataCom Manager and staff with WAN carrier, service providers, and CalPERS internal organizations. • Monitor LAN/WAN traffic, utilizing existing monitoring tools. Maintain functionality of these tools. Analyze and report abnormal findings immediately to DataCom manager and staff with recommendations. • Identify and assist with ongoing training (knowledge transfer) required for DataCom staff in regards to LAN/ WAN network optimization. Make recommendations as needed. • Develop and maintain necessary documentation, including procedures. • Provide technical proposal reviews and document comments as required • Provide technical support and guidance to DataCom Manager, DataCom staff, and act as technical specialist to DataCom customers. • Assist with design, implementation, testing, and issue resolution regarding LAN/WAN components. • Provide network diagrams and appropriate documentation identifying the physical and logical network paths and connections. • Provide a migration strategy to minimize or alleviate risk, where appropriate.
