Duration: 6-9 Months Rate: 50/hr PL/Sql Developer. To generate these reports the PL/SQL consultant has to be able to either: - develop or create new PL/SQL stored procedures (PL/SQL code) to extract new types of data from the database as needed for any of the reports. it is not only extraction: it can also be processing. - maintain or provide production support of the existing PL/SQL and the related stored procedures that create the weekly/monthly report application which involves any changing or modifying of existing PL/SQL code. - Implement or connect a new application to the database using PL/SQL example: As Calyon receives new application (Ex: regulatory or compliance applications) the applications need to be implemented into the data warehouse environment which involves writing new PL/SQL stored procedures. It is more that we must ensure completeness of data to support the different requirements either on a reporting or application point of view. It involves writing new PL/SQL procedures or modifying them. Additional skills the consultant needs to have to do the job. 1. strong Unix scripting skills. 2. good knowledge of the ETL process 3. knowledge of the Oracle tools (plus predefined packages) . 4. need to know the data warehouse concepts/environment – candidate needs to understand the architecture of the application. 5.
