*Complete Description:*

Work with the Faculty Portal Project team to build various ASP.NET forms for
the web-based Faculty Activity Reporting and Evaluation System (FARES).

• *Using the existing application framework, develop ASP.NET forms in Visual
Studio 2008 and C#*

•Create user-defined controls and classes necessary to implement the desired
functionality

•Create tables, views, stored procedures and data scripts in SQL Server 2005

•*Participate in system testing*

•Follow departmental procedures for coding and documentation

•*Develop reports using Report Designer in Visual Studio 2008*

•Attend weekly project team meeting at 3 PM on Monday

*Qualifications*

•Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
is required

•At least three years of experience in systems analysis, design, and
implementation

•At least three years of hands-on web application development experience
using VB.NET and C# in Visual Studio 2005/2008

•At least three years of hands-on experience with database design and
development using Microsoft SQL Server

•At least three years of experience writing queries and stored procedures in
T-SQL

•User interface and graphics design experience using Photoshop and CSS is
preferred

•Ability to listen and understand user needs and requirements

•Interpret and communicate clearly and accurately information, ideas and
instructions both verbally and in writing

**Pls note: VCU School of Medicine will be closed for Thanksgiving and
Winter Break. Only if the candidate chosen has proven ability to work
independently will they be allowed to work during these breaks. Pls set this
expectation with your candidate. If they cannot demostrate they can work
independently, they will not be able to work while school is closed. VCU’s
scheduled holidays - Thanksgiving (November 25-27) and Winter Break
(December 19, 2009 – January 3, 2010)



Contract Duration

•12 weeks @ 40 hours per week between November 2009 – February 2010

•Preferred Work Schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

•Work hours during VCU’s scheduled holidays - Thanksgiving (November 25-27)
and Winter Break (December 19, 2009 – January 3, 2010)

*VCU School of Medicine is located in downtown Richmond and parking is not
available. Pls set this expecation will potential candidates on who will be
covering this cost during this 3 month assignmt.

Question 1:

VCU School of Medicine will be closed for Thanksgiving and Winter Break (see
