Client develops, produces and commercializes the world’s largest range of vaccines and combination vaccines that provide protection against 18 diseases. The product portfolio includes a range of vaccines for children and an adult and travelers range. *PROJECT DESCRIPTION - GENERAL* Currently there exists a need *for Oracle database administrator to support Oracle business projects for Commercial Ops, Research to Launch, Business Support and Industrial Ops areas* including support for new systems and applications as well as enhancements to existing systems and application. In addition, ongoing maintenance and support is required for growing number Oracle database based systems. *SPECIFIC DELIVERABLES* - Installation and configuration of *Oracle databases and database infrastructure* - *General Database Administration and Support* - *Relational Database Modeling and Data Integration Design* - *Database and Application Performance Tuning* - *Database and Data Integration Documentation, Testing and Validation* - *Functional and Technical Evaluation of Products and Database Upgrades and patches* - *Database Backup and Recovery* - *Change Management* *- Disaster Recovery Planning* *- Post-implementation Support* *- On-Call activities* *- Others as required* *TIMEFRAME* The assignment is approximately 6-12 months in duration depending on the final project plan and final scope. *POSITION REQUIRED (ROLE)* The consultant will be responsible for establishment, implementation and support of the client database infrastructure for all business information systems. The database administrator is also responsible for assisting with the establishment and enforcement of database and data integration standards and guidelines in order to ensure database and data integration conformity across client. The consultant will be working with various members of IT to design, test and implement database applications. *SKILLS REQUIRED* 5+ years of working Oracle experience. The consultant must have excellent *Oracle skills*, be able to quickly learn the present environment and processes. Excellent verbal communication skills are required.
