This is an 18 month assignment in Keller, TX for a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst. This person will be assigned to the Collateral in Margins project. The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst works with other Analysts to ensure that the systems meet specified standards and requirements. This individual will be experienced contributor in the Quality Assurance process including, test planning and preparation, generating test cases and scripts, reporting upon and coordinating test environments and activities, execution of test scripts, recording results in a defect tracking tool, and provide general mentoring on sound testing practices. The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst will be a team player and work well with technical and non-technical professionals in a project environment.
- B.S. in Computer Science/Finance/related degree or equivalent experience - 5 or more years of IT experience - Competent to work at the highest Quality Assurance level of all phases of system testing (must have backend testing experience) - Experienced in the QA lifecycle - Proficiency in SQL (2 years experience doing queries, data manipulation, reading data models, navigating in relational databases) - Fundamental knowledge of Unix (i.e. logon, change directories, understand VI Editor) - Experience with Mercury Test Director, QTP, Quality Center, Load Runner - XML (preferably FIXML) experience Experience in the financial markets industry Ability to communicate clearly/efficiently with users, management and staff. Ability to prioritize and coordinate across multiple departments *TECHNICAL SKILLS* - XML concepts & structure, SQL a good understanding of complex joins and unions, UNIX, experience in multi-tiered architecture, QTP and Loadrunner - Business: Industry Experience (Derivatives, Risk, Collateral, Trading and Options/Futures experience a plus) - QA Knowledge (Advanced Level): Testing Methodologies, Creating Test Strategies and Test Plans, Create Testing Metrics, Requirements Based Testing - Leadership Skills:Â Â Project Planning experience, has worked independently on projects - Communication Skills: has experience in dealing with all levels of Management and Users, Ability to translate technical requirements to non-technical users - Performance Monitoring tools: Wily InterScope.
