designing and standardizing server solutions
Work with businesses and multiple teams to assist in project scope creation
and technology solutions for high-level requirements for each assigned
project phase with proper communication and coordination among teams
Use Six Sigma quality tools and rigor in developing business solutions
*Technical Skills*
*Required Qualifications*
· 5+ years of experience with Solaris technologies
· In depth knowledge of Solaris Unix Systems
Administration/Architecture with strong hands on focus
· In-depth knowledge of capacity, utilization and performance metrics
monitoring and reporting
· Previous Experience deploying enterprise projects and initiatives
· Strong experience in designing and implementing complex HA
architectures
· Strong experience in automation and scripting, including KSH, PERL
· Expert knowledge of Veritas Storage Foundation, including Veritas
clustering
· Strong experience in Solaris 8/9/10 and Redhat Linux RHEL 3, 4, 5
· Working knowledge of storage architectures, including: EMC, NetApp,
Hitachi
*Desired Qualifications*
Veritas, NAS and SAN technology with application focus
Senior Solaris Engineer detail scope
The Senior Solaris Engineer will have the main responsibility to lead
projects and initiatives based on Solaris technologies including:
- Installation, configuration and production of the environment
- Creation of mandatory Design, Build, Run documentation
- Creation of process maps that facilitate the actions to see if a new
workflow for sun virtualized server offering is needed
- Creation of architecture diagrams, process diagrams, and project
documentation
- Responsible for the build and configuration of the environment with
leverage of company's standards
- Creation of the run documentation, lead run training meetings and
provide escalation level support to the run organization
- Attending Customer / Support Team status meetings / daily pulsing calls
- Change / Incident Status updates
- Device Build Process Pulsing
- Change Advisory Board (CAB)
