Position : *Operations Support Admin *Location: *Woodland Hills,CA *Length of Contract: *10.2009 *Rate: *$40/hr * Additional information from Hiring Manager: What I am looking for is more of *an application administration* than a*true system administrator *, since we do not have access to production hardware. *IBM does that*. - I need some one who can help our 10 or so *Java*, *SUN IDM developers*. - Someone who can administrator our *CVS server* (on windows). - *Install a document server* (*Twiki*, for example), *set up a procedure so developers can* follow and start storing their procedure online. - Help developers debug the websphere server issues. - *Deploy the code to Dev, QA and prod.* - *Work with NOC on production outage.* - Create *metrics, and performance planning. *- Help* install software for the two new production servers that we plan to install in Q1.* So, this is for someone who has *some development background*, *some CVS admin background*, *some customer support background,* *some software deployment background*, and* Unix background* since *our servers are mostly AIX*. - Some* oracle background since* our *DB is oracle*. - Someone with *Sun IDM production background* is a *big plus* since that is *our foundation for our application*. Plus *HTML, Perl, spreadsheet*, etc. Also, look for these type of people too: *Release Engineers* *SCM (Software configuration management) Engineers.* *Configuration Analysts.* Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager.
