JSF is the key....need someone with strong *JSF* experience. *Position:* Java Software Engineer *Client:* Harvard Medical School *Location: *Boston, MA (Longwood Medical campus) *Length: 3 year position* Need only local candidates or also consider NH or RI candidates but need to attend F2F interview with own expenses. ** The Software Engineer-Data Tools will be a member of the Data Tools team of software developers and will work with other teams of developers, content managers, researchers and database managers in order to analyze user requirements, develop architectures, develop project plans and execute those plans. This person will be responsible for all phases of the application development life cycle including: prototyping, requirements gathering, functional specifications, design, iterative execution, unit/integration/system testing and release management. He/she will participate in the planning and execution of project coordination and quality assurance functions. *This is a grant funded 3 year position. After the 3 year Term, there is a chance for extension* * * * * *Basic Qualifications* BA/BS in computer, information science or equivalent work experience is required. *Additional Qualifications* · At least five years of web application development experience with Java, JSF, JSP, HTML, and JavaScript. · At least 3 years experience in multi-tier or distributed systems development required. · Experience with CSS, MySQL, subversion, Ant, JIRA, Tomcat and Linux are highly desirable. · Experience working with both large and small teams is highly desirable. · Experience working with technical leadership, sponsors and end users are highly desirable. · Prior experience in the development of biomedical informatics applications and scientific software are highly desirable. · We are looking for candidates with the ability to prioritize and handle a wide range of tasks simultaneously, and possess good judgment, sense of initiative, and a detail-oriented focus.
