*Project Location* *Pasadena, CA* *Duration* *3-6+ Months Contract* *Interview Mode: Phone + F2F* *Visa: **Any* *NOTE: Must be local* *Job Description:* *Summary* The Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for developing and enhancing infrastructure and applications to support the growth of the business and to promote a highly available and stable computing environment. The Sr. Network Engineer will contribute to the overall engineering, design, build and high level support of all existing and new network infrastructure. Works closely with our internal clients to develop consensus and find solutions to problems facing their business constituents. *Responsibilities* - Actively participate in the assessment, planning, designing, and implementing of Network and Security solutions including high availability, routing/switching, VPN and security policies. - Monitor network environment for anomalies and errors, reporting and escalation of issues. - Provide the required daily support, maintenance, and management of the platforms. - Provide Level III network support and repair, as well as providing escalation to the Management Team. - Provide 24x7 On-call Escalation Support (rotation-based / full week support) - Author internal documentation, such as environment diagrams, installation/configuration and release notes - Troubleshoot and debug problems found in the production and non-production environments. - Assist in managing the corporate systems in a multi data center environment - Monitor and troubleshoot any problems within the network. - Create network plans, document the existing network, and communicate with business partners to establish connectivity. - Coordinate with technical solution providers and vendors to provide recommendations on equipment purchases and upgrades to the existing network infrastructure. - Help ensure that the organizations network infrastructure complies with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). - Strong proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) - Strong proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Layer 2 networking (VLANS, Spanning-Tree,) - Strong understanding of network concepts related to High Availability, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery related to Open Systems architecture - Perform other duties as needed. *Requirements* - CCNP or CCDP preferred - 7+ years experience with Cisco Routers/ Switches - Bachelors degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience - Applicable network engineering certifications preferred - IPSec VPN, PIX/ASA Firewalls, SSL VPN, PKI encryption, and AAA. - HSRP, VoIP, QoS, VSS, VMPS, VDC, VRF, PBR, PVLAN, and other IOS features. - NTP, TCP/IP, and Windows Systems. - Experience with Cisco or Avaya VoIP IP/Telephony - Information security including Firewalls, IDS / IPS - Solarwinds Orion or other SNMP-based monitoring - In-depth knowledge of Ciscos products switching, routing, wireless, firewalls and management tools. - Understanding of network concepts related to High Availability, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery related to Open Systems architecture *Note: We are Working with tier-1 Vendor.* Thanks & Regards, Udbhav Mathur Talent Acquisition Specialist Email:- [email protected] <[email protected]> Gtalk: udbhav.intime Tekshapers Inc. – WMBE Firm 1441 E.
