Required Skills:
8+ years of relevant design and architecture experience in IBM Cognos
Business Intelligence Projects
3 years’ experience SQL and authoring reports against relational and
multi-dimensional data sources
Experience with large database applications (multiple terabytes)
Proficiency in Cognos architecture, report development, and
administration
Understand SDK and the use of Java script and HTML in Cognos
Strong semantic data modeling skills
Knowledge of data, master data and metadata related standards,
processes, and technology
Takes initiative and demonstrates problem solving ability
Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation skills
Responsibilities:
The overall responsibilities include but is not limited to the
following:
Design and implement a scalable architecture using IBM Cognos 10 BI
technologies and integrating with external web portal
Develop, communicate, enforce standards, and oversee delivery of
technical quality
Manage and monitor deployments into testing and production environment
Collaborate effectively with customer contacts to define reporting
requirements and develop reporting content
Handle multiple projects and ensure delivery of projects within deadline
Perform tasks such as optimization of queries, security/access control,
high availability, online diagnostics, production support and other
enterprise software assignments
